This magnificent Orient Express hotel is located on Motu Toopua, an islet in the lagoon across from Bora Bora’s main village of Vaitape. The resort blends understated elegance and authentic Polynesian charm with all the amenity expected in one of the world’s greatest hotels. The resort has complimentary shuttle service to Vaitape (just 5 minutes away) via motor launch. It offers 80 traditional, Tahitian-style bungalows – 50 over the water and 30 amid tropical gardens.
The Bora Bora Lagoon Resort has:
- 6 End of Pontoon Bungalows
- 44 Overwater Bungalows
- 25 Motu Bungalows (Beach or Garden location - 1st come basis)

Each bungalow is built in authentic Polynesian style with the comfort and amenities found only in the world's greatest hotels. The sitting areas have six-foot long couches, rattan easy chairs, hassocks and coffee tables. In the over-water bungalows, illuminated glass-top coffee tables give private views of the lagoon's marine life. Guests can slide the top back and feed the fish from the comfort of their sofa. The large wood and tile bathrooms feature separate water closets, separate bathtubs and showers, and double sinks with coconut-framed mirrors. There is
also a refrigerator, mini bar, coffee service and personal safe.
The spacious bungalows feature king size beds (or two twins), private sundecks, international direct dial telephones, large closets, writing desks, private safes, tea/coffee maker, minibars, hair dryer, wood and rattan cabinets housing satellite TVs and in-house video systems.
There are two one-bedroom suites. One is located on the main
