| Opened in July 1998, Le Meridien
Bora Bora is built
on the southern point of "Motu Piti Aau", a 6-mile long
islet on the coral reef.
Until 2005 Le Meridien had this area of the lagoon all to itself, however it is now sharing it with the Intercontinental Thalasso on the left, and the St Regis on the right. However, the other resorts are not close enough to interfere with the ambiance of the Le Meridien.
Le Meridien has 85 overwater bungalows
over the turquoise water of the lagoon and 15 beach bungalows,
and is 20 minutes by private launch from the airport, and 5 minutes by
boat from the main island of Bora Bora.
All Overwater Bungalows have private decks with split-level sun terraces from which you can snorkel or simply bask in the sun. The ultimate touch in the Overwater bungalow is a large windowed surface in the floor of the living room from which you are able to admire the marine life of the lagoon!
The Le Meridien has two categories of Overwater Bungalows- "Regular" and "Premium".
- The regular Overwater Bungalows are located over the shallower portion of the lagoon and may face the shore.
- The slightly more expensive Premium Overwater bungalows are located farthest out, in the deepest water, and offer unobstructed views toward the lagoon and the mountain.. Both Overwater Bungalow categories have the same interior/exterior design and amenities. - The Beach Bungalows are very private with a spacious deck and the same interior design as the Overwater Bungalows.
Le Meridien
follows strict guidelines to protect the ecosystem of the lagoon and
the resort is an official Marine Turtle Sanctuary that provides guests
with a unique opportunity to swim in a natural aquarium with all types
of lagoon fish as well as baby turtles before their return to the
sea.

Le
Tipanie restaurant is unanimously renown as one of the best tables in
Bora Bora. Overlooking the interior lagoon, it welcomes you in an original
setting.
Te Ava restaurant is located beside the swimming pool, where you can
enjoy lunch with your feet in the sand, in a relaxed atmosphere.

• Lunch : 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Bar and Snacks : 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Le Miki Miki bar is distinguished above all by its architecture, like
the prow of a ship pointing toward Mount Otemanu. It is definitely the
best place to savour a house cocktail while watching the overwhelming
beauty of the sunset across the lagoon, to the sound of a ukulele or
Polynesian ballad played by our talented musicians.
